My therapeutic style has evolved over the years to be person-centered and strengths-based with the intention of fostering insight and self-awareness. I am dedicated to creating a safe space where we can collaborate in an Individual or group format to explore potential remedies in a mindful or dynamic way depending on your individual needs and goals. As a Licensed Therapist who is also a Certified Pilates & Yoga Instructor, I have learned the wisdom of integrating the ancient healing practices of the East with the innovative, evidence-based therapies of the West to help accelerate healing and maintain long-term recovery.
As a first-generation Asian immigrant, I experienced first-hand the pain of feeling disconnected and alone from a young age. This and other life experiences helped me cultivate a non-judgemental curiosity and cultural sensitivity to the support I can provide to my clients. I believe that we humans have a remarkable capacity to heal, grow, and thrive! I am dedicated to helping individuals break up with past failures and learn to fully connect to their authenticity and joy.
I received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana, M.A. in School & Community Counseling from National-Louis University, and a certification in Alcohol & Drug Addictions Counseling from College of DuPage. I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve clients who are willing to share their stories and show me what courage and resilience look like.
